TTA at the CVST Christmas Market, November 14th

On Saturday 14th November, TTA  hosted members of our three twin towns for the annual CVST Christmas Market. TTA members and friends again operated the very popular cafe service for visitors and stallholders, where Joy’s home-cooked ham salad was dish of the day.

Representatives from France, Germany and Poland came to sell their ‘national’ goods at their stalls and then met together with the Chairman of the Council for a very British afternoon tea. During the day other groups met to explore further means of expanding the connections between our twinned towns, especially a group of teachers who wish to develop the educational elements of the Association’s work further.

Members  and guests gathered in the evening for a  celebratory meal with seasonal trimmings, getting our festive calendar off to a very cheery start.

We had the additional honour this year of the presence of Councillor Olivier Desseaux  and M. Fabien Chabanne from the Mairie in Valence. At our evening event they delivered their speech of thanks with warm  fraternité, unexpected égalité and much stylistic liberté. They will always be welcome.
